The Garner soccer program split a pair of matches with West Johnston on Monday at West Johnston, with the JV team coming out on top, while the Varsity dropped their contest.
The JV squad picked up their win with a 3-0 shutout of the Wildcats. Bayleigh Adams scored a pair of goals for the Lady Trojans while Brook Provich added the other as the JV Lady Trojans are now 1-0 in conference play.
Coach Corsbie and the Varsity squad dropped their conference opener to West Johnston 5-2.
The soccer team will return to action on Wednesday when the Varsity Trojans host to Clayton at 6:00 at Trojan Stadium.
