Garner lost to Enloe on Monday night snapping an eight game winning streak. The Lady Trojans won the first game 25-22 but got slammed the second game 25-8. However, they won the third game 26-24. But, Enloe rallied to win the final two games of the match and steal the non-conference victory from the Lady Trojans.
On Tuesday, Garner swept Harnett Central to continue their dominance of the Greater Neuse River. The scores were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-11.
Highlights for Garner came from Elena Mast who came in to serve seven straight service points after Garner fell behind to Harnett Central 6-0 at the start of the the first game, which got Garner back on course.
Courtney Weathersbee was also hot for the night having 16 service points for the night and three kills and multiple assists. Kasha Jeffries had seven kills, four digs and seven service points. Garner fell behind the second game 5-0 early but managed to pull it out winning a tight match 25-21.
Kelsey Bryan had five kills for the evening. Garner found their rhythm in the third game and wins easily 25-11 with Maddie Stewart serving out the game and Shea Barbour playing front line.
The Lady Trojans will be back in action on Thursday when they host Clayton at 5:30.
