Garner found a way to continue their dominance of the Greater Neuse River on Thursday night with another victory over the Clayton Comets.
Garner took the first game over Clayton 25-21. Early in the second game of the match match, Clayton was forced to call a timeout after a 7-0 service run by Courtney Weathersbee.
Following the timeout, Clayton couldn't seem to get it together to get back in the game and Garner wins 25-16. In the third game, Clayton caught fire and downed Garner 25-14. But, the Lady Trojans rebounded in the fourth game of the match and close it out with a 25-17 victory to win their eighth consecutive GNRC match.
Next week, the Lady Trojans will step out of conference on Monday when they travel to South Johnston. Garner will travel to East Wake on Tuesday before playing host to SSS next Thursday, all matches begin at 5:30.
