The Trojans added to their lead in the third off Ben Youngblood (L, 3-4). Brandon Tant doubled to begin the frame. Connor Torruella followed with a hustle double to center which put runners at second and third with no outs ahead of Alec Hulmes who golfed the first pitch he saw to right field for a sacrifice fly and a 3-0 Garner lead. The lead became four runs as Taylor Stephens doubled to bring Torruella home with a 4-0 lead for the visitors.

SSS (8-12, 3-7) cut into the lead in the bottom of the third off Danny Shortt (W, 3-3). Alex Sellers singled to begin the inning and was moved to third on a fielder's choice. TJ Brown followed with a single to score Sellers.
