The Trojans fall at home 5-2 to the Warriors, stopping their 4 game GNRC win streak. E.Wake gets four second half goals to grab the advantage. Luke Tompkins goal on Matt Wescoe's assist, at 32:10 of the first half knots the game and sends it to the half tied at 1-1 despite shots on goal favoring E.Wake 12-5. The Warriors strike first on a penalty kick by Mike Paye which gets by Drew Gay, who was looking to extend his streak in goal. The Trojans jump on top in the second frame on Jake Smith's goal off the assist of Hector Kunichek just 0:26 into the period. Terrific defensive plays by Gabe Chrismon and Dillon Creech keep the Trojans on top until the 24:57 mark when Paye ties it again at 2-2. Cliff Smith just misses a header that goes high. At 26:21, E.Wake registers the tie-breaker by Gallardo to go up 3-2. Luis Aragon and Baltazar add late goals as the Warrior pull away for the win.
Originally scheduled as Senior Day, the annual honor of the Senior Class will be held next Monday instead in the re-scheduled, last home match against SSS. The Trojans travel to Holly Springs Wednesday.
