The varsity gymnastics team competed in their second meet of the season this past Friday, December 10, 2010 finishing with their first top five finish of the season.
Competing for the team were, Senior and Captain Jessica Hellman, Taylor Williams, Taylor Jernigan, Lacey Castora, Taylor Coppedge, Hasmin Gale, Megan Clifford, Holly Townsend, and Sarah Rogers.
Freshman, Lacey Castora, scored a 9.3 on bars to place second. She also earned a 9.050 on balance beam. Sophomore, Taylor Williams scored a 9.2 on floor for a ninth place finish.
Thirteen schools competed with Lee County taking top honors followed by Wakefield, Leesville, Green Hope, and Garner finishing fifth.
