Garner took a 14-3 lead to halftime with out the benefit of a offensive touchdown as the Trojans got a fumble recovery from Brandon Parks that went for a touchdown and after a blocked punt, Isiah Moore scored to make it 14-3 Garner at the half.

In the second half, both teams were plagued by flag after flag, but the big run of the the second half came from Demetrius Fairley who rumbled 90-yards for the touchdown and Garner was up 21-16.

However, West Johnston used a no huddle offense late in the fourth quarter and got a break as Patrick Crocker was being sacked but pitched it to CJ Fredrick just in time as Fredrick reversed fields and eluded several Trojan defenders as he ran 21 yards down to the one yard line to set up the eventual Game Winning Touchdown.

Garner had one final chance and after crossing into Wildcat territory, Garner couldn't advance the ball as Cody Woodall's hail mary pass was incomplete and West Johnston defeated Garner by the 22-21 score for the second consecutive year.

The Trojans will return to action on THURSDAY night when they travel to Clayton for a 7:30 kick-off.
