Soccer Falls in Overtime

The Varsity Soccer team took a 2-0 lead into the locker room at halftime on Monday at Clayton. Both Trojan goals came from Matt Wescoe who scored the first goal on a Penalty Kick early after a elbow to the back of the head in the box. the Other goal was a free kick from 35 yards out with just 40 seconds to play in the half.

Clayton got a goal early in the second half, and would score again to tie the game at two all and send the game into overtime. In the extra session the two teams played a very physical period but Clayton would get the only goal and take the win 3-2.

Both JV and Varsity are home on Wednesday aganist Knightdale.
