Millbrook erased an eight point, 28-20 halftime deficit on Friday night at Trojan Coliseum to move into the regional semi-finals with a 62-55 win over the Garner Trojans.

Garner (25-3) trailed by three points at 14-11 after the opening eight minutes but were able to rally in the games second stanza as Gavin Wilson caught fire from the outside knocking down a pair of three pointers as he poured in 13 points to give the men of Troy a 28-20 lead at intermission.

Millbrook (24-6) came out on fire in the third quarter scoring the first seven points of the stanza to pull to within one point at 28-27 prompting Coach Gray to call a timeout to stop the bleeding. As the quarter wore on, the contest became a back and fourth affair as the Wildcats were led by Karon Blount and Shi'Chee Moore who kept them in the game and helped Millbrook take a 40-38 lead into the final quarter.

In the final minutes of the final stanza, the Trojans couldn't get the buckets to fall as Moore put Millbrook on his back scoring 18 of his game high 21 points in the second half including 10 points in the fourth quarter to lift the Wildcats to a 62-55 victory.

For the Trojans another spectacular season comes to a conclusion but the Trojan Nation would like to extend their appreciation to the nine seniors who provided us with so many memories over the past four seasons. The Garner senior basketball players went 51-4 over the past two seasons including an 88-27 record over the past four years.
