Senior Meagan Proper made it official when she signed her National Letter of Intent with the Wolfpack soccer team on Thursday. Proper will join former Trojan teammates Paige Dugal ('08) and Kaitlin Wescoe ('07) on new coach Steve Springthorpe's NC State squad. Meagan has led Coach Connie Barnes Lady Trojans to consecutive NCHSAA play-off berths and a co-championship of the GNRC. The Trojans posted a combined 32-7-2 record with consecutive seasons tying the GMHS school record of 16 wins in a season. 4A All-State, and All-District and All-conference selection in 2007, Proper posted 31 goals and 36 assists. She is a star in the classroom as well as an All-Academic conference selection. Proper plays for the Premier League East Champions U17 CASL Spartan Elite team and serves as Student Body Secretary and was on the 2008 Homecoming Steering Committee. Meagan is the daughter of Ann and David Proper of Garner.
