The Garner Citizen News & Times is the media partner for The Power of 7 and the Habitat for Humanity House project. The Garner community is coming together to raise funds to build a Habitat For Humanity house in Garner. You are cordially invited to the Habitat at the Park event scheduled for Saturday, May 17 at Lake Benson Park. Seven area United Methodist Churches have been working diligently planning this all-day festival.
Beginning at 6 a.m., a Yard Sale will be held. In addition, at that same time, there will be a Craft Sale, Bake Sale, Plant Sale, Silent Auction, Games, and plenty of food. Beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until 5 p.m. there will be live entertainment on stage. At 6 p.m. there will be a live auction with auctioneer Randy Creech encouraging the crowd to bid on various items, over 150 items in all. The goal is to raise $70,000 which is the sponsorship that is needed to build a Habitat For Humanity house.
Please help to get the word out and please invite your family and friends to attend. Let's help a family obtain an affordable, low cost, Habitat For Humanity house that will be built in Garner. For More Information or to Volunteer, contact:
