Daryl Saunders won boys high jump with a mark of 6' 8" in a rainy wet day at the state meet. The event was halted several times for the safety of jumpers. When the meet resumed Saunders was able to clear 6' 8" with no problems. The second place finisher was only able to clear 6' 6".
