Garner got their second shutout in as many days as the men of Troy defeated rival Southeast Raleigh, 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Trojan Stadium.
The Trojans (7-2, 4-2) got a pair of goals from Taylor Stephens as Garner took the lead and never looked back.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Perkinson added another shutout in goal for the men of Troy who are now tops in the Greater Neuse River Conference.
Garner is back in action on Monday when they travel to Harnett Central. The varsity match will begin at 6:30 preceded by the JV contest at 4:30.
