After earning a victory over their former conference foes, the Garner Trojans earned a season sweep of South Johnston High School on Monday night downing the Trojans three games to one inside Trojan Coliseum.
Garner (4-1) took the opening game of the match 25-14 before South rebounded to win the second game 25-23. However, they would get no closer as Coach Boyette's squad fired off back-to-back wins, 25-18 in the third set followed by a 25-8 victory to seal the match.
The lady Trojans were led by Kristen Powell who had 15 of Garner's 39 kills on the night.
Garner will begin its march toward a conference championship tomorrow night when they take on the Clayton Comets inside Trojan Coliseum. First serve is slated for 5:30 with the JV game beginning at 4:30.
