Trojans fall despite another hard luck outing by Zach Howell (0-4), who has 9 strikeouts, allowing just 3 hits on the evening:

Trojans score in the 3rd inning when Austin Gulley reaches on throwing error, sacrificed to 2nd and scores on Patrick Monihan RBI single. Millbrook answers in their half of the inning by packaging 2 singles and 2 stolen bases for 2 runs and the 2-1 lead after 3 complete. In the 5th, the Trojans get singles by Howell, Wil Medlin and Gulley but can't score. Millbrook threatens in the 5th but Howell again K's the side and do not score. Howell's 9th K and a DP keeps the Wildcats (8-4) from scoring in the 6th. the Trojans fail to score in the final inning. Austin Gulley just misses a homer, doubling off the wall but the Trojans (4-7) cannot plate the run.

Schedule for Sat. 4/12 (revised due to weather):
At Wakefield, Green Hope will play Wake Forest-Rolesville at 10 a.m., and Lee County will play Wakefield at 1 p.m.
At Millbrook, Apex plays Northern Durham at 10 a.m. and Fuquay-Varina plays Broughton at 1 p.m.
The second-round game between Athens Drive and Leesville Road, which was rained out Friday, Saturday and Monday, has yet to be rescheduled.
The teams will be seeded and final pairings set after all the second-round games are complete.
The championship is April 19, but a site has not been chosen.
