The North Carolina High School Athletic Association released the State Playoff brackets today and Garner will be the overall number one seed in the 4-AA.
This means that the Trojans will home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Garner will open the playoffs on Friday night at Trojan Stadium against Athens Drive. Kick-off is set for 7:30 and booster club passes will not be accepted.

Trojans capture top seed
Trojan Club to hold Fundrasier
On Saturday, October 29th, LaRoma Pizza located at 206 Forest Hills Drive in the Forest Hills Shopping Center will hold a fundraiser for the Trojan Club.
From 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., you can go in and order a large two topping pizza for 10 dollars, and if you mention the Trojan Club and they will donate five dollars back to the Trojan club.
Second half surge sends Garner to victory

Facing their biggest deficit of the year, Garner found their stride scoring 37 points in the second half to finish undefeated with a 44-23 in over Harnett Central.
Garner (11-0, 7-0) scored on their first play from scrimmage as Juwan Moye rambled for 96-yards and the score to give the Trojans a 7-0 lead.
However that would be about the only highlight for Garner in the first half as Harnett Central (5-5, 2-5) scored 17 unanswered points on a touchdown run from Malcolm Graves and a Bale Ware pass to make it 14-7. Nate Laing added a 47-yard field goal and at the break, Central held a 17-7 lead.
A Garner fumble gave Central the ball early in third Ware rumbled up the middle 65-yards for the score and a 23-7 lead.
With thing looking bleak for Garner, Moye, put the Trojans on his back and carried them to victory rumbling for 316 yards on 22 carries helping Garner pull to within eight after a touchdown run and a two-point conversion with over nine minutes left in the third.
The Trojans pulled even with 5:30 to play in the third when Tyler Hinton scored from three yards out and another two point conversion tied the contest at 23.
With the game tied, it was all Garner as Moye and Hinton took over scoring a combined three touchdowns helping Garner roll to 44-23 win and cap an undefeated season for the first time since 2007.
Additionally, the 316 yards from Moye is the highest single game total since Sean Jackson in 1999.
Garner will be back in action next week when they are home for the first round of the state playoffs. Kick-off will be 7:30 and the opponent will be announced on Saturday.
Pop Warner Fundraiser
The Garner Pop Warner Junior Pee Wee Cheerleaders will have a fundraiser on Saturday at Andy’s in Garner from 8:30 until 10:00 a.m. and will also have a Chick-fil-a night on November 2nd from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of these fundraisers is to raise money to support the cheerleaders trip to Disney World to compete for a championship.
Volleyball drops heartbreaker
Coach Boyette and his Lady Trojans dropped a heart breaker on Tuesday night in the second round of the State Playoffs with a 3-2 loss to Pinecrest at Trojan Coliseum.
Pinecrest (21-8) won the first game of the match 25-17 before Garner (20-4) evened the game with a 25-19 victory in the second game.
The Lady Trojans surged ahead in the third game with a 25-15 victory, however, Pinecrest forced a decisive fifth and final game with a 25-23 win.
In the final game of the match, Pinecrest eked out a 25-23 victory to advance to the third round of the state playoffs.

Lady Trojan Golf on to State Championship
Congratulations to Trojan golfers Nichole and Arianna Ceyrolles for qualifying for the State 4A Golf Championship at Pinehurst #6 next week.
Nichole was named All-Region after shooting an 87 while Arianna fired a 94. Additionally, the Trojans finished fifth at Monday's Regionals out of 16 teams, played at Duke University Golf Course.
Both Nichole and Arianna will participate in the State Championship next Monday and Tuesday.
JV Trojans win suspended game
Garner and Clayton made up their suspended JV Football game on Monday night at Trojan Stadium and the Trojans came away with a 41-28 victory.
The game resumed early in the second quarter with Clayton leading 12-6, but it didn't take long for Garner to respond as on fourth down and two, Brighton Hudson hit Wallace Montague for a 13-12 Trojan lead.
After the Comets answered right back to take a 20-13 lead, Garner scored again this time it was the familiar duo of Hudson to Julius Barnes to knot the score at 20 heading into the halftime break.
In the second half, it was Raekwon Britton who got the Trojans on the board first with a 17-yard run and after another touchdown pass from Hudson to Britton, it was 34-20 Garner after three quarters.
The final score of the night came when Tyreece Taylor rumbled 49-yards for the score and the 41-20 lead for Garner.
Clayton added a late score but it wouldn't make any difference as Garner came away with the 41-28 victory.
The JV Trojans conclude their season on Thursday night when they travel to Harnett Central for a 7:00 kick-off.

Volleyball advances
For the third consecutive year, Garner found themselves at home for the first round of the state playoffs, and for the second straight year they advanced to the second round as they defeated New Bern three games to one on Saturday afternoon at Trojan Coliseum.
Garner won the first two games before the Bears won game three and forced Garner to close the match in the fourth game with a 25-23 win.
The Lady Trojans will be home for the second round on Tuesday, the time and opponent is not yet known.

It was built as a game of big plays and on Friday night at John Baker Stadium, the contest was all that and more as Garner out punched Southeast Raleigh 41-34 to earn the Greater Neuse River Conference Championship.
Southeast Raleigh (7-2, 5-1) stuck on the first play from scrimmage as David Washington hit Quentin Atkinson for a 86 yard touchdown and the Bulldogs were off to the races up 7-0.
Garner (10-0, 6-0) answered right back on the ensuing kick-off as Anthony Tucker returned the kick back 90 yards to make it 7-6 after a missed extra point.
The Bulldogs answered right back with a five play scoring drive than ended on a flea flicker as Tristan Walker pitched to Washington who hit Atkinson again for the score and a 13-6 lead for the home team which is how the first quarter ended.
Early in the second, Garner pulled to within one as Demetrius Fairley rumbled into the end zone to make it 13-12 Southeast. The Bulldogs answered on the next drive with another big play as Washington hit Walker for the 20-12 lead.
Late in the first half, Garner found the answer. Backed up on their own 10 yard line, the Trojans went to the air as Vince Jefferies found Anthony Tucker for a 90-yard completion to pull Garner to within two. The Trojans elected to go for two and connected as Moye found Brayden Sims in the back of the end zone to send the game to a 20-20 tie at the break.
Garner came out swinging in the second half, on the first play from scrimmage, Moye rambled 53-yards to pay dirt and the first lead of the night for the Trojans at 26-20.
Yet again, the Bulldogs answered as Washington hit Ramel Tedder for a touchdown and the Bulldogs regained a one point lead. On the next drive, Garner salted the clock with an 12 play drive that took over five minutes off the clock and ended with another touchdown run from Fairley and after another two-point try, made it 34-27 Trojans.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Southeast answered with a pass to Tedder and knotted the game at 34.
Garner had one more score in them as the moved the ball down the field on the ensuing drive. After runs of 25 and 26 yards from Fairley and Moye, it was Fairley who capped the drive with a four yard run and a 41-34 lead for the Trojans.
On their final drive, Southeast Raleigh faced a fourth down and 32 and on the play, Gavin Wilson and Jeremine Bologiongo sacked Washington to end the game and preserve the 41-34 win for the Trojans.
Garner will conclude their regular season next week when the return to Trojan Stadium and welcome Harnett Central to town. Kick-off is slated for 7:30.
JV Trojans fall to Southeast Raleigh
The JV Trojans dropped their second consecutive game this season with a 32-13 defeat on Thursday night at Trojan Stadium.
The Trojans trailed Southeast Raleigh 20-13 at the break and couldn't find their offensive rhythm in the second half as the Bulldogs hit two big pass plays for scores which proved to be the difference in the game.
Coach Lee and his JV Trojans are back at home Monday night at 6:00 when they conclude their suspended game with the Clayton Comets.
Volleyball sweeps conference championship
It took Garner just three games to dismantle the Clayton Comets to earn the Greater Neuse River Conference tournament title.
This marks the second year that the Trojans have won the regular season and conference tournament.
Coach Boyette and his Lady Trojans will be home on Saturday at noon in the first round of the state playoffs when they welcome the New Bern Bears to Trojan Coliseum.
Volleyball advances to tournament finals
Coach Boyette and his varsity volleyball squad earned a 3-1 victory on Monday night at Trojan Coliseum to advance to the championship of the Greater Neuse River Conference Tournament on Wednesday night.
Garner will face Clayton in the conference championship after the Comets downed West Johnston 3-0. The championship match will begin at 6:00, come out and support the Lady Trojans!
Volleyball advances in conference tournament
Coach Boyette and his top-seeded Lady Trojan volleyball team advanced to the semi-finals of the Greater Neuse River Volleyball tournament on Saturday morning with a 3-1 victory over Harnett Central.
With the victory, the Lady Trojans will return home to host Knightdale on Monday night in the semi-finals.

After a sluggish start, Garner found their offensive stride on Friday night scoring 40 or more points for the sixth time this season as they spoiled the Knightdale homecoming with a 42-13 victory.
Knightdale (3-5, 2-3) struck first midway through the first quarter on a 65-yard drive which was aided by a pass interference call on the Trojans and an early 7-0 Knightdale lead, it was only the second time that the Trojans have trailed all season long.
It didn't take long for Garner (9-0, 5-0) to respond as they marched down the field and tied the game as Vince Jefferies hit Juwan Moye for a 55-yard touchdown pass and knot the score at seven.
After a three and out from the Knights, the Trojan offense went back to work and it was Moye again, this time on the ground as the senior waltzed into the end zone for a 14-7.
That lead grew to 21-7 early in the second quarter as Jefferies hooked up with Damian Ellis for another score.
Garner added two more first half scores, the first another Moye touchdown run. The final Trojan score of the half was another Jefferies touchdown (his third of the night) as he found Anthony Tucker in the back of the end zone and a 35-7 lead for the Trojans at the break.
In the second half, there was just one score for the Trojans and it was another run from Moye who scored his fourth all-purpose touchdown and a 42-7 Garner lead.
Knightdale added a late fourth quarter score for the final margin of 42-13.
Garner will be on the road next week as they travel to John Baker Stadium to battle rival Southeast Raleigh. Kick-off is slated for 7:30.

JV Trojans drop hear tbreaker
Coach Lee and the JV Trojans dropped a heart breaker 34-33 in overtime on Thursday night as the Knightdale Knights picked up a big GNRC victory.
Knightdale scored late and converted on a two-point try to force the overtime period before they eventually won the game.
The Trojans are back at home next Thursday at 7:00 when they host Southeast Raleigh.

Volleyball ends season perfect
The Varsity volleyball program completed their 31st consecutive Greater Neuse River Conference victory on Thursday night with a three game sweep of Harnett Central.
Garner finishes the season as the GNRC champions and a 15-3 overall record and 13-0 conference mark. The 10th ranked Lady Trojans will begin the conference tournament on Saturday.
Soccer picks up big win over SSS
Coach Sherwin and the varsity soccer team entered this week in a desperate fight for the state playoffs and their quest began on Wednesday night as they hammered Smithfield-Selma 5-1.
Tyler White scored two goals and added an assists for the Trojans while Taylor Stephens also scored twice for Garner who moves to 5-8-1 overall and 3-6-1 in the Greater Neuse River as they sit one game out of the final playoff spot for the conference.
The Trojans will be back in action tomorrow night at 6:30 when they travel to Holly Springs for a non-conference match.
GNRC Tennis Championship Results - Day 1
Congrats to Diamond Grissett for advancing to the semi-finals in the Greater Neuse River Conference Tennis Tournament in Singles and to the team of Krista King/Hannah Hamlin for advancing to the semi-finals in Doubles.
These ladies have secured individual berths in the East 4-A Regional tournament next Friday at Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville. Taylor Vess and Veronica Velasquez will play in the fifth seed elimination round for a chance at securing the final regional spot in doubles.
Matches begin at 2:00 on Thursday afternoon at Clayton High School.
